Working Lands for Wildlife: Northern Bobwhite, Grasslands and Savannas Framework for Conservation Action is a 2022 publication by NRCS capturing a long-term, large landscape conservation plan to recover central and eastern grasslands for northern bobwhite and other wildlife species. To support the win-win approach of WLFW, this framework also includes anticipated outcomes for risk management and revenue enhancements for agricultural/forestry operations, as well as measured outcomes for greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation.

For over two decades The Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) have supported the conservation of the Monarch butterfly along its migratory route, by promoting community projects, developing action plans and supporting collaborative efforts in Canada, Mexico and the United States. Building on this model, we are supporting regional collaboration for pollinator conservation.

With many states experiencing record drought, livestock producers may find themselves in a tight spot when trying to provide forage for their cattle. In the long run, native warm season grasses can offer drought resistant forage during the summer slump when many cool season grasses slow in production.
