Knoerr, Michael

I am a native to Illinois and have a MS in Fish & Wildlife Conservation from Clemson University. I am a private lands biologist working for the Conservation Management Institute at Virginia Tech. I specialize in the conservation of aquatic reptiles and amphibians. Via this WLFW partnership, I advance stream and river restoration projects designed to improve conditions for hellbenders in western NC. I also conduct habitat restoration, population surveys, augmentation, and modeling for imperiled bog turtles in the region.
