Data Sharing and the AppLCC Web Portal

Video Presentation by Appalachian LCC GIS Specialist Paul Leonard that describes the vision and functionality of the AppLCC web portal in regards to sharing and visualizing data.

Paul Leonard is a GIS/Data Management and Conservation Planning STEP (Student Temporary Employment Program) employee working for the Appalachian LCC. He is currently a PhD student in wildlife and fisheries biology at Clemson University. During his master's degree program, Paul developed methods to detect small, isolated wetlands using high-resolution LiDAR data in managed forests. His current research interests include habitat connectivity, mapping gene flow, and using supercomputing to speed up conservation planning.
